I have an sql server witch is installed on a computer1, I can logon to a computer1 with administrator account, but I can't start sql server services, which means i can't connect to it, it gives me error "the service didn't start due to a login failure"

I edited registred sql server properties and the "use windows authentication" radio button is selected.

Any idea?

    Accepted Solution

The registered sql server properties only affect how enterprise manager attempts to connect to the sql service.

To see why SQL server won't start use the 'Services' admin tool.  Scroll to 'MSSQLSERVER' and edit it's properties.  Normally the logon is set to Local System account.  If the 'This account' is selected ensure a valid user name and password are entered.

I was just there, and fixed it
Go to Services in Administrative tools.
    2. Open MSSQLSERVER and click on the Log On type.
    3. Enter your domain password.
