what port numbers need to be open in the firewall for both DHCP and DNS servers running on WinServer2003?
Hi all,
I just need to know what port numbers (and type UDP or TCP) I need to add to the Windows Server 2003 Firewall so that clients can get an IP address from the DHCP server running on that machine?
I tried port 67 (DHCP supposed common port), but it does not work. Â Turning the Firewall off allows clients to connect just fine.
I can't seem to fine the correct port numbers in the IETF common port listing - MS must be using something other that the standard port numbers for DHCP.
Right now, I have the firewall turned off, but I need to go live today and this little piece of information eludes me.
