Change Service Properties "Startup Type" with a script?

Is there a batch command or WMI script I can run to change the Startup Type on the properties of a service (from Automatic to Disabled, for example)?

Thanks.

i am sorry it looks that windows 2000 is not supported. it works on winxp only i think. maybe you could try to copy the sc.exe from XP to 2000 if it works but it would be license braking i think :)
it just works by copying. so you can do a cmd script which will copy the file to the destination PC from a network share then do the command then delete it so your mission will be acomplished and no black software on the target machines will be installed
