What could stop my offline defrag from finishing? It get to 10% in the edb.Priv and stops and I have to back out. If, or rather should I run the Isinteg utilies before I run the offline defrag, and do I do this offline or online? Is this a common problem?

Hi millerdog,

what errors are you getting in your event logs? My advise is to run the isinteg first http://www.goexchange.com/support/faq/faq_GEvsMStools5.asp run it with the fix switch and then if you get errors run it again until you get no errors, then try and run the eseutil tool.

But it would help if you posted the errors

Hope This helps

also does it need to be defragged? you will notice event id 1221 in app log around 3am.. this will tell you how much space you can reclaim from doing the defrag, if it is no more than 500 mb then there is no real point in doing it except for lack of space on the drive.
