iframe's scrollbar is cut off...

I have a page where the last part of the page is an iframe. I set the height of the iframe to "100%".

Now when the frame shows up on my page with more data than can be seen on the page, the bottom of the scrollbar disappears under the status line.

Is there a way to size it so that it starts in an arbitray position and ends at the bottom of the content area of the window?

The scroll bar is normal if the content in the iframe wraps to a length greater than the Iframe's holding container specification.  That holder is either a table, a CSS designation, a <TD> or something with a fixed height.  If you know the maximum height of anything you would ever read into the Iframe, you can specify that in the container to the iframe, height = 2400, for example, and there will be no scroll bars.  However, one rarely knows this, so the spec of 100% for the iframe merely says, to fill the full height of whatever element is containing it.  Since the user has control over the resizing of the browser window, unless you specify a maximum height, the scroll bar will come and go as the user resizes the browser.
