Natted website, internal DNS vs. external DNS. IIS cannot forward to internal DNS addresses....

Hello. Here is the current setup at the company I administer:

 External DNS (FreeBSD 4.6 BIND 8.2.3): 208.158.250.99/domain: www.velium.com

 Internal DNS (Server 2003 AD): 172.16.x.x /domain: vel.internal

IIS: Natted on Cisco from 216.x.x.x to 172.16.x.x

When going to www.velium.com cannot get to redirected web pages (don't work):pts.vel.internal, mistral.vel.internal (nslookups work internally to correct IP addresses).

Problem: Web pages on IIS have redirector links which cannot be reached from users on the outside. I tried changing the link sites to the internal addresses, but to no avail. I now realize that the external DNS is trying to resolve this problem instead of the interal DNS, but I do not know what steps to take to point the redirector pages in the right direction. Please help.

ASKER

Problem solved:

All I did was put the public IP addresses into the html-redirect-link page and all links worked from the outside.
