enter

no service config

at the command line

The router is trying to get it's config from a network tftp server. You can turn it off with the above command.

I tried entering ... no service config
It did not work (command was not recgnoized). Invalid input detected at the "no"

At what prompt should I be?
I'm currently at the enable prompt ... myrouter#

Thanks

no

get back to normal exec mode by typing "end" at the config prompt.

Then type :

copy run start (short for copy running-config startup-config)

or us old tiers do it this way:

write memory

either way should work.

All changes must be suffixed by the write to memory command or a reboot will revert back to what was before.
