Pick List, what do you use to create one?

Non-Web VB.NET application Pick List
Example:  User enters last name, and hits search button... You should be transported to a form that has a pick list of all the people with that last name.  You should see something like this:

Mathew       James      Somerset      NJ
Mathew       John        Princeton       NJ

Then user should select one of the Mathew's and hit o.k.

I want to create some type of pick list like this.  I am not using bound controls.  What control should I use?  What do you usually use for a pick list?  DataGrid?  Or some third party control?

Can you give some programming code as to how to populate the pick list?  (Doesn't have to be complete)   For example, "MyDataGrid.row(0).col(1).Text = ...."
This is not how to do it, but I am asking how to do it.  Because remember, I am not using data binding.   There should also be some way to know which row is selected...

By the way, I have a similar question for web applications in the appropriate topic area...

A datagrid can do the job.
Other ways also exists, e.g. a multi-column combobox:

or even a ListBox or ListView control.  Any other these can be used, with equal utility.  The choice is up to you, depending on the LOOK that you want to have to your forms.
