I have a client who wants "dimensional weight" shipping. Does anyone know if I can get shipping calculations based on "dimensional weight" shipping (whatever that is) using FedEx Ship Manager API?  I assume I need a fedex account number.  This is so fustrating.....just need to know if this will work, any other hints would be helpful, thanks.

    Accepted Solution

    Dimensional Weight
A calculation of a shipment's weight based on the IATA volumetric standard instead of its actual weight. Dimensional weight is calculated by multiplying the length x height x width and dividing by 166 pounds (if multiplied in inches) or by 6,000 kilograms (if multiplied in centimetres). From where you can find a easy formula for your script.
    hope this helps
