Missing Organize files

Upon running Norton WinDoctor I regularly get message of 5 Organize missing files:  or5rebld.exe (twice) and org5.exe (3 times), with message "cannot access a necessary file":  ltaswn23.dll (twice), ltscan13.dll (twice), ltcapn20.dll.

I installed Organize from disk but no difference.  Suggestions?  Ben

Try searching for these files manually using Windows Explorer. Can you find them anywhere? If you can't you need to remove the references of these files from WinDoctor's memory. Scan the system registry for entries containing these file names and remove those entries.

WARNING: Manually editing the registry can be dangerous. It is very very difficult to help you beyond this on the matter.

My other suggestion would be to search for *.INF files containing these file names. May be the references of these files is available in an old configuration file that is used by WinDoctor. Then getting rid of the entries would solve your problem.

Another question would be, How often these messages pop up? And what harm do they cause you. If those are just annoying, a better option might be to live with it than try something unsafe and have to reinstall your OS.

Great ideas.  Going out of town for balance of week.  Will do as you suggest, report back next week and issue points.  Ben

No .inf files, but was successful with cleaning out the registry.  Thank you.  I appreciate the various options.
