Blue screen on startup

When i started one of my machines up this morning the windows splash page loaded and then just before the logon start came up i get a blue screen of death then the machine restarts itself.

the error mesage is *** Stop: 0x0000001E (0xC000001D.0x000000003.0xEB1BF524,0Xeb4C0C98)
KMORE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

*** Adreess EB4c0cg98 base at EB4C0000, DateStamp 3f5b9999 - idisw2km.dll

I have run hardware Diagnostic and thats fine.

Also i unplugged all the external devices connected.

Any ideas? Formatting IS NOT an option ;)

NT status code 0xC000001D is usually caused by hardware error.

faulty motherboard

faulty ram

If you want to find out the culprit, attach  5 to 6 minodumps at any webspace. You can find the minidump at the folder \winnt\minidump

Did you recently install some Matrox hardware?

Try using the recovery console (boot from the Windows 2000 CD if you didn't install it) to find the idisw2km.dll file and rename it to idisw2km.old.

Reboot and see if that gets your OS back.

Cheers

Did you try Last Known Good Configuration, Safe Mode or Safe Mode with Networking? because each of recovery method uses  pre-set registry keys to load device and its drivers.

Let me know.

This is a hardware error and last known good configuration does not resolve the problem.
