Outlook 2003 Autofill not saving.

Outlook 2003 autofill for email address on Windows XP Pro empty after restart. No changes ever saved.  I reset the feature by removing autofill option in outlook, deleting .nk2 file, restart, entered email addresses, restart , and the autofill was again empty.  Any process to ensure that the file is saved.   I have 6 users all windows xp pro with office 2003 with the same problem.  Any help would be apprciated.

Is the autofill option in Outlook you are referring to in Tools->Options->Email Options->Advanced E-mail Options->"Automatic name checking"

It is in an exchagne environment and I did not try another user.  It seems only some users in the network have the issue.

I only recall one problem like this, the auto complete cache was being emptied each time outlook was closed.  Does that describe your problem, it seems to remember names you have entered in the Outlook session until you close Outlook, then it is cleared?

I believe it ended up being a Windows user account issue, and I think we solved it by having someone else log onto the workstation, and access their mailbox thru outlook.  We verfiied that the names were being saved for that user when Outlook closed, and when we rebooted and logged back in as the original user the problem went away.
