Exporting RichText field to MS Excel

Hi,

I have a richtext field in my document. I have a function to export the other details to MS Excel. Each record will take 1 row, but i'm unable to export the richtext field nicely into Excel. I get some funny character. Is there any way I can get the exact format that they enter and put it into Excel?

Even if I can put the text into excel, the column is very big.
Can I generate report into word document in table form? Each record will take 1 table.

Thanks!

If it is pure text in RTF field, then loop into that field for content and assign to a variable and then export to Word/Excel.

But u will loose formatting. And if u want formatting then go for Midas software(3rd party)

What does it mean to be "Always On"?

Is your cloud always on? With an Always On cloud you won't have to worry about downtime for maintenance or software application code updates, ensuring that your bottom line isn't affected.

yes. it is not FREE.

And to develop a code like that, u may need atleast another one year.

If u want to export to Word (formatted text), u can do it through Lotus Script. But there are some cases, where u loose formatting.

if u are looking to export to Word with formatting(only text), then let me know. I may have some code for it.

thanks,

Hi maddy,

I can try with exporting to word with formatting. Do you know of any website that gives you a list of functions you can use for formatting in excel and word documents? Thanks!
