Selection of CISCO wireless Access Point?

We have around 10-12 employess at the moment and will grow to 50 -60 in next two years....Our company policy is to use CISCO for Networking...

Now, we would like to provide an wireless access point (will be used only when require) for employess/sub contractors mainly to give access to internet.  The simultaneous users through this access point would be not more than 5-6 persons.  Our office area is around 1500Sq.ft.

Which is the best CISCO wireless access point to use for this purpose?  When enquired locally, somebody advised to go for AP1200?  Is that right, cost effective....Please comment and give your suggesstions?

thanks

I like the 1100 Series. It provides for B and G Connectivity. Here are some links to help you choose. although you have already made the most important decesion in going with Cisco.

Hi !

The 1200 would certainly be an option.  I have only limited experience with the kit but as far as I can recall you can play around with the radio power settings to optimise for your area.  Also it is a very friendly GUI and, depending what your corporate security policy is, you can stipulate quite good security on there.  For instance you can set it so that only specific MAC addresses can get access as well as the WEP keys etc.  Also, since you are a Cisco shop, I am assuming that you have Cisco switch for this AP to connect into.  That means that you can put port security there also so that you could tie the port down until needed.

Good luck !

You know that a Linksys WAP54G http://www.linksys.com/products/product.asp?grid=33&scid=35&prid=608 is pretty solid and actually incorporates some of the Cisco IOS.

However, you asked what CIsco WAPs you could go for the 1200.  it's sold, reliable and expandable.
