FrontPage gives this error:
Hi,
Please look at this page: YOu can test it (submit it) as much as you want because I am the only person at the moment receiving the form results. .
http://adambasma.com/may2001/bookings.htm
I"ve also saved the form in the root: http://adambasma.com/bookings.htm
When the form is submitted the error appears: Cannot run the FrontPage Server Extensions on this page:
I've created many forms in Frontpage and never had this problem.
Any solutions appreciated!
Thanks

Hi,
I checked Netcraft and found that your website has Apache server and Frontpage 5.0. I guess that you need to uninstall and reinstall Frontpage server extensions using your website control panel. The host should give you a control panel to administer your web space.
After that I recommend recalculating your web, then try.
Avoid using an FTP, use File > Publish

Thanks. I'm pubishing exclusively under File publish for this site.
I'll tell them to reinstall front page

I think I have zeroed in on the problem.
I did a simple test form and it worked fine -- until I added an email recipient.
Then I got the same error message. I have a feeling that the server is not set up to send emails. I'll be talking to the hosting company.

Hi,
If you are testing the form locally it will not work, the form should be tested online. If you are testing it Live (online) then the host SMTP is not configured to send emails. If you are working online you should ask them to setup the SMTP for sending emails.

FYI,
Here is the form with email recipient included:
http://adambasma.com/test-WITH-email.html
Here is the form with NO email recipient:
http://adambasma.com/test-NO-email.html
I'm contacting hosting to have him set up the SMTP email....
Stay tuned!

Hi
Just got off phone with tech support and they are looking into it (and will be reinstalling front page extensions.)
I also looked at the error log file and this appears to be the error:
[Thu Apr 14 19:12:19 2005] [error] [client 66.134.221.96] File does not exist: /usr/local/www/vhosts/adam basma.com/ htdocs/fav icon.ico
Any thoughts?

Hi,
favicon.ico is the icon that appears in the Address field before the URL address that you type. The defaul icon is the Internet Exploere blue E letter. Maybe this file is missing.

In the meantime I did another version of the form as a test.
http://adambasma.com/may2001/test1.html
And get this interesting message when I hit submit:
The requested URL /_derived/nortbots.htm was not found on this server.
