lyncusb.exe error at login...

Got the following email from a user this morning.

Every morning when I log in, I get the following error message:

Lyncusb.exe Application Error
The application failed to initialize properly (OxcOOOOOO6)
Click on OK to terminate the application
-------------

First, any info on what exactly it is? Second how do we solve the problem? There's next to no info out there when I Googled it and what is doesn't help much.

Hi!

It's a USB auditing "Service".
If the user did not install it, and an IT and/or Admin did not - very suspicious!
Use services.msc to see if it's running as a "Service" - stop it, then disable it.
Look in Add/Remove Programs for any refereces to it -
if present - uninstall from there.

It audits people plugging in USB sticks - known to create problems.
