I have an access Table.
In the table
The second field RefNo is a text field 50 - not required - allows zero length.

I have this in a Select Query
Inthe Design View of the query RefNo shows correctly.
When I look at the details (ordata) View RefNo shows as Expr1001

Any ideas why please?

    >View RefNo shows as Expr1001
The most common answer is because you have this field in your query twice.  The first one is named correctly, the second one is named Expr1001.

    Hope this helps.

Open up the query, and go to Vew "SQL View".

You should see a function of some sort with "as Expr1001".

If you are using the asterisk ( * ) to view all fields in a table, and specifying this field as well, then you'll have it in there twice.
