Dear experts
I have a situation where i have 2 web apps (custom webapp -1, custom webapp -2)
i use my regular tomcat instance 4.1.27 for deployment of my custom webapp -1 (8080)
I need to install another tomcat version 5.x for deployment of my custom webapp -2( some other port - lets say 8081)

how do i do that, because the tomcat start up script calls what is registered in catalina_home of my environment.

As long as you don't define CATALINA_HOME as a global system variable, each instance of the command interpreter can have different versions of CATALINA_HOME

    Accepted Solution

Look at: <Tomcat_HOME>\conf\server.xml for entry Connector.
You an change there the port to something else. (there might e other ports you want to change e.g Server port="8005")
    You can look at:
or (Multiple Tomcat) for more information
