Simple question,

If you feel you have a great java object you want to share, 500 points will be awarded. Must be Java code and a single class. I will assign points to the most ituitive object by 17h00 GMT.

Just doing a collection of source code for my own reference.

I've got a Virtual Editor class that can edit files just like the vi editor.
It's about 6700 lines of code and has 120 methods.

Then again, EE is not a place to do homework, neither is it a place to buy software.

Nothing wrong with sharing code is there? It is a personal thing that I understand, therefore you dont have to participate if you feel otherwise.

PS, sounds like a very interesting class, can think of many places that one could use that. Does it run as an application or an applet?

No, but the site rules say that we should not give full code just like that - as it looks like homework. (For example, in your case, somebody might say that you are looking for some code for your project and once you get a good one, you'll submit it) - I'm not saying that is actually the case with you, but it could look like that to a lot of moderators and experts here. Do you have any specific question that you want answered? If you are merely looking for good source-code projects, then have a look at:

I did not think there would be anything wrong with this, but ya'll might know better. I figured that I would be acceptable since it is just creating richer content for EE members to search over.

If you want me to close the question, happy to do so.

Thanks Javatm, will have a look at the links.
