Does anyone know of what the future holds for IrDA or know of any links to any websites?

Here is the official website, http://www.irda.org, they have some announcements of upcoming projects.  IMHO, I think Bluetooth is a better technology.  The range for IR is a problem, granted it can be extended, but by default the 5 or so feet is lousy.  Bluetooth no can reach 100 ft., again default 30 ft., but 30 ft. is a long way.
