I am in the planning stages of a large data migration project.  Some of the data is on a VAX.  Does anyone know if I can use DTS to help move the data off the VAX and toward SQL Server 2000?

If it can be accessed through ODBC, then yes.

VAX system uses some EXPORT command to create text files. For very large active systems, it is unusual to pump data over ODBC line-by-line. Then you can use BULK INSERT command to fast-load text files into tables.
