MSIE Not Responding to Anchor

I have a question in the PHP section with the title: PHP and Anchors.

I have posted the generated PHP code which is basically just HTML or XML (with CSS). I have created a link. When that link is clicked on, the page is supposed to advance to the anchor location (at the bottom of the page). My display is about 1.5 - 2 pages long and has a scroll bar. This works just fine in Firefox but does nothing in MSIE.

Has anyone else had this problem? Can you recommend any solutions?

Feel free to post either to here or the PHP main question. Again the code and other comments are location at the question labeled "PHP and Anchors" under the PHP section (rather than this HTML section)

Thanks for any help

The syntax for anchors is as below, any problems may be related to anchors with the same name.

<a href="#FormEnd">Goto End</a>
.
.
.
.
.

<a name="FormEnd"></a>

Here's a copy of my original post in the PHP section. I've included more details as answers in that section. Let me know and I can copy more from the other section if needed.

<a href="#FormEnd">Page Down</a>

as a link to allow to user to advance to the end of the page.

And

<a name="FormEnd"></a>

as a to create an anchor at the end of the page.

Clicking on the link correctly appends #FormEnd to the parameter list for my php page (i.e. something like http://www.hereiam.com/page.php?param1=2¶m2=3#FormEnd

Nothing happens, though. I do not advance to the location of my anchor. I have done searches on php anchors and people seem to refer to this as something that workw with php. Any ideas of what I might be doing wrong or what I could try that would work?

Well, I solved it. Seems that for some reason MSIE doesn't like Anchors towards the end of the document. Moving it up resolved my problem.

I doubt that is it, there is something else there. The link you posted is dead.
