Antivirus problems

I have winserv2k3 installed with file server, AD, DNS, and Exchange on a single machine.  It works fine untill I try to install an antivirus program on the server.  I have tried a couple (currently trying GFI) and every time I get startup errors.  In the event log I get 7000 and 7009 under "System" Service control manager (microsoft information store failed to start) and (timout 300000 milliseconds) and I get an 8197 under application with an (error installing virtual machine).  Anyone know how to fix this?  Also, my exchange server does not function after startup.

You must use AV software specifically for an Exchange Server - regular AV packages do not work since they block services from starting uif they look suspicious.

This software is not cheap, so be prepared for some sticker shock.

Another way to to this is to scan the Exchange server from another server's AV package.  It takes a bit of bandwidth, but it doesn't carry the costs of true Exchange AV software.
