i'm using adobe premiere and i'm trying to import a bunch of video that i already have in xvid and divx avi files.

when i import the files though - i get a small form with the title "Import Files" in the middle of my screen with a progress bar and a cancel button - but it never makes any progress - it just sits there forever.

what's gonig on with that?

i've got the divx and xvid codecs installed... do i need something else?

I had a similar thing in the past on MPG files.
I ended up deinstalling Premiere (+capture board as its drivers nest itself in premiere) in despair and reinstalling the bunch.
    Haven't had that issue since.
I can't promise you that it'll work in your case though....
