PCL XL Error Subsystem: Kernel

I am using an HP Laserjet 2300n and get thefollowing error message when printing:

PCL XL error
         Subsystem:   Kernel
         Error:           IllegalOperatorSequnce
         Operator:     BeginChar
         Position:       290

I am using Signet Roundhand ATT type font however, the error message does not appear when I use Times New Roman.

Thanks!

PCL 6 seems to be prone to these kind of errors. A few things you can try:

Reinstall the font.
Download and install the latest driver.
Try a PCL5 driver (e.g. HP LaserJet 5, which ships with Win2K and XP - select it from the Add Printer wizard).

In my experience, the 2300 is prone to these errors when using the PCL6 driver. I would highly recommend you install the Postscript driver from the HP website:
