Dell A920 Printer - Won't print in color

I have a Dell A920 Printer that has decided to stop printing in color.  I replaced the color cartridge twice and it still won't print.  I wiped the contacts on both the cartridge and printer - still won't print in color.  I swapped the black cartridge and color cartridge.  Did not get any black and got a little bit of color.  Swapped them back and got the black but no color.  I'm at a loss and need to get some programs printed for my son's class.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

When you say it does not print color, do you mean (a) that places where there should be color are now blank or (b) places where there should be color are black or grey?

In any case, when trying to print, check the printer Properties and open all the tabs to make sure you have not select "black and white" by accident. Usually most color printers let you print color items in b/w by a setting in the printer properties, probably as a way to conserve your color ink.

It is blank where color should be.  I did check the printer Properties tab and the "black and white" is not selected.  Any other ideas?

did you try the test print for the printer? Usually this is done by holding one or 2 buttons during power off /on cycle; mostly power button + paper button; check your manual for the exact procedure.
If this does not print normally, the printer itself is at fault; it can be due to head clogged with ink, or bad contacts of the cartrigdges, so clean all contact surfaces and print nozzles (the last one with a moistened cloth)

I contacted Dell and they agreed that the printer is at fault.  They are sending me a new one.  Thanks for the help.
