In sage instant how can you make it run without recording stock levels ? These are software products we write so no need to record stock on them. I just want to turn off stock completely but we still need products and pricing.

It doesn't let us print invoices and keeps popping up with annoying error messages about no stock at the moment

thanks

Add Stock of 99999999999999 at a cost of £.000000000000001

Should keep it from making the stock value a problem + having no problems invoicing for a while

I think she should've created them all as non-stock items

Do you know a way of switching all the products from stock to non-stock without updating each one  ?

thanks

I'll have a look when in front of Sage machine later tonight - I would expect to be able to change it.

Thanks, she's entered about 300 products so that would be great.

I have had a look now and on Sage InstantAccount8.2 you do the following:
  Click On Products Icon
Select Item you want to change in List and click on Record
Change the Dropdown on the for Item-type to Non-Stock
 Click Save
 Click Close

No is just as good an answer as yes I suppose

Thanks for your help

Perhaps, a better answer would be, only buy an accounting system if it gives you database access, i.e. not sage !!!!
