Making sphere in photoshop
I need to make a "3d" sphere out of a flat photoshop drawing. It would be for print use.
How do I do it?
ALSO would Illustrator be a better choice for making 3-d spheres?
TO FURTHER CLARIFY,
The exisitng photoshop/illustrator artwork consists of a flat circle divided into 4 different flat solid colors. There is a top left color, a top right color bottom right color and bottom left color. In other words the circle has a "cross" in the center with each resulting sectin of the circle a different solid color. THEREFORE (:) ) what I guess I am looking for is a sphere that would allow the flat artwork to be "meshed -- is that the word" or morphed onto the sphere, inhereiting the various light patterns the globe created.
If this can be done in photoshop or illustrator that would be good. Would rather not go into a 3d program.
Thanks

Excuse my spelling, this "little" project has given me a headache :)

Those tutorials look like they provide what I need. I'll have the client take a look and see which version of the sphere comes closest to what he wants.
And I'll report back!
Thanks for your prompt reply
