Problem receiving e-mail attachments

A problem just popped up with our mail system. Whenever we receive an e-mail with an attachment, the message looks like this"

[MIME content for  this item is stored in attachment $RFC822.eml. Parsing MIME content failed: 26:AA]

there is an attachement named $RFC822.eml

Using Outlook to open the attachment, it looks like all is well with the e-mail message.

We are using Postini for spam filtering which has been working very well for us. To my knowlege nothing has changed on our side.

SO, whats the cause for this problem? and it is our server ?

Thanks
Dave

Some info please on the environment: Domino server versions, O/S, mail configuration.
What server is converting the mail?

You could stop the Router but leave the SMTP listener on. Mails will then arrive in the mail.box database(s) but they won't be routed. You could try to read those mails, to see if they are wrong already.

jjpaton,

> Shut down domino server and rename your mail(1,2,3).box to mail.old / mail2.old etc, then
> restart the server to create new mail(1,2,3).box. Test.

And don'tforget to check later to see if you left any messages in the old files that want to be delievered.

Ummm, yeah, sorry, forgot to mention that's why you should rename instead of delete :) Thanks Q
Hi jjpaton,

Could explain to me why the mail.box file would have the problem? Sounds weird I need clarification.

Cheers.
