One Movie calls another with blue background

Hi i have one movie ....thats 500 by 300 that calls another one.

1-15 frames displays some pictures then
in frame 16 calls new    movie.swf

1.............How do i put in some code that it loads movie.swf then after it has finished it continues...........
               I don;t have the fla for the movie.swf someone else done this.............else i could put in gotoandplay("label")

2............ The movie.swf is a little bit smaller so the background appears bright blue.
               Its like when you put an image on the page in html if you don't set border to 1 it becomes blue.

                The background is grey

Thanks

Cheers

I don't think this is possible without knowing when the end of the swf is reached.
You can resize the sencond swf with
_level1._xscale=50;//or whatever _xscale works - this is trial and error
_level1._yscale=50;

or if you are using loadMovie and not loadMovieNum, and loading to a container clip,
_root.container._xscale=50;

and so on.

For part 1, you should be able to get the necessary information with mc._totalframes and mc._currentframe.

For part 2, same concept, the movieclip that you created, to hold the loaded movie, what I'm calling "mc", change the scale to match correctly.

Hope that helps,

David

that would be from loadMovieNum
frmes=_level1._totalframes;
if(_level1._currentframe==frmes){
_root.nextFrame();
}

I think im getting it............
So if i am loading an external swf then use loadMovieNum (then i don;t need to put this in to an empty movie clip).
and the swf will be streaming.........and i don;t have to wait until it loaded.

loadMovieNum("shelter_g.swf", 2);

I can then hide stage with
 _level0._visible = false;

and use the container i.e mc_empty   (for loading movie clips in the library to the stage).
rather than trying to load an external swf into the empty container

Is my theory working..............also reading the books with on the information given.

Thank you.

...and reposition the stage with _level2._x=100;
_level2._y=100;
as another example...
It allows you to separate out each loaded mc from another loaded mc, without having to create a separate container clip for each.
It is an alternative, not necessarily the best for every occassion - but definitely for a lot.
