LPDSVC Evenit ID: 4005 ( PRINTER ERROR)

I keep getting the following error when printing:  Request for unsupported print format received from apache : job may not print correctly.

What would cause this.  Our application resides on Linux and the pritners reside on Windows Server 2003.  Help !!!

itiadmin - I'd start by checking out the following article: 150930 - LPD Server Adds and Prints Control Codes - http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;150930

If that does not resolve it I would try the following steps:

Change the spooler type on the NIX box to use "BSD".
On 2003 change the data type to "RAW", select "Print directly to the printer" and apply the following changes in the registry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Printers\<printername>\PrinterDriverData
Value Name: LpdPrinterPassThrough
Data Type: REG_DWORD
String: 1

It seems to only happen when the printer is busy or at certain hours....would the above be a cause of it?
