No video in .mov file

Hi -

I have a quick time .mov video file that when I try to play it, I can hear the sound but cannot see the video. I have the latest version of quick time and I tried the update option and it told me everything was updated. Why can't I see the video? I have other .mov's that work fine.

Thank You

You probably need to use a different codec.  The best thing to use is Media player classic as it has all codecs prebuilt in and its fast and easy to use.

Here is the link

U can also try and download this codec, http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow
it works fine for all my players.never found any problem so far.
Good luck.

Also worth checking that the *.mov file is actually a quicktime format file.
Try the GSpot utility to confirm what codec is needed for the video component.
