Hi lidium,
You can get a "SIP" image for the phone that will allow you to use it with any SIP-compatible VoIP server.

I believe that you can get the SIP image from - http://www.cisco.com/kobayashi/sw-center/sw-voice.shtml
You will need to have a CCO login on Cisco's website, and a valid SmartNet account for the phone in order to download the software.

Does that help?

Incidentally, you can see a list of several open source VoIP software systems at http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Open+Source+VoIP+Software

I personally use Asterisk, which I've been delighted with.
