help with php forum installation

It looks like you have not defined a database user in your config file. If this is clear in the config, then just add the name of a user with adequate permissions to the db gamesemp_cart into your config file.

Otherwise, let me know what bb you are installing and I will try to help you find the location of the config entry.

It should be fairly obvious what kind of BB you are installing, since you would have had to download the scripts in the first place and the installation steps would show it as well. Are you sure it is PhpBB, or just guessing? There isn't much point in me telling you how to configure PhpBB if you aren't even sure that's what you are trying to install.

All it says is that it is a portal software free BB that requires PHP and MySQL be installed and configured correctly.

If that's the case, the question is too broad for me to help you. I would recommend looking through the docs to see if there is a config file where you can assign a database user name. The line '@localhost' indicates that a user has not been specified. It should be something like 'user@localhost'.

i have assigned a d/b username but im still getting the same error. do u know of any other similar bulliten boards that are easier to implement
