Limit logon hours on a workstation

Hi,

We're running a Windows 200 network.  We'd like to limit 3 of our computers to only be used Monday -Friday from 7 AM to 5 PM.  Any other time we don't want to let anyone logon.  Is there someway to do this?

Is there a way to do it by computer, not user?

What your looking for is specific software to do that, such as...

http://www.share2.com/new/utilities/deskto_lock.htm

This will allow you to program when the computer can be used and when is should be locked.

haven't tried but possibly you can simply have a scheduled task, running at 5pm doing a net stop workstation and one at 7am doing a net start workstation

this will stop and start the workstation service that is needed to logon to the workstation

Create an OU (called 'Restricted Hours' for example) in AD, add the computers to this OU then let Group Policy do the work. The link in sagexl's comment has the exact path in the policy editor.

Enforce Logon Time Restrictions Using Group Policy - as this is changing the computer configuration it is actually applying to computers in the OU not users.
