Zone Alarm slowing up my PC?

I installed Zone Alarm security suite 5.5 and even though it appears to be a huge improvement over Norton's Inertnet Security (which was painfully slow on my PC: XP Pro SP2, 933mhz, 382 RAM), my Firefox is running strangely: it acts like every web site i visit is new to the program, even if it's a regular site like my home page. I've checked my DSL connection and my ISP's speed test regularly tests it at 800 mbs. I did delete Internet Security so i don't think it's still running in the background, and I have disabled the Windows firewall. Thanks to all.

Okie....Either ZoneAlarm or any other FW impact the performace but not very considerably...You may want to compare the performance with ZA & without ZA...
Some times reinstalling the program ( not a known issue) solves the problem on windows.:)
