Problem printing from Outlook Express 6

Hi all!

A buddy of mine can't print from his Outlook Express 6. He is running Windows ME

A pop up saying:

Internet Explorer Script Error
Line: 639
Char: 1
Error: Invalid argument
Code: 0
Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?

1)I have re-installed his printer drivers.
2)Updated OE to 6.1
3)Downloaded SHDOCLC.DLL from the internet and replaced the original one ( however it was in a Scandinavian language I think) I registered this, but it didn't help.  I then undid the changes.
4)Changed the Encoding to various selection of the menu, following suggestions from the internet

None of these things have helped.

is Surfairy  installed in the machine

is he able to print if the messages are in plain text format ?

try updating IE and see if that helps

I'll try this today and let you know if it works.  I've never heard of Surfairy!

Thank you,

Most certainly, this is not a printer driver problem. Try saving the mail as HTML and then disable JavaScript from IE > Tools > Internet Options and then open the HTML file. Now can you print it?

Must be a JavaScript issue.

Hi all! Problem solved....and I'm not sure what exactly did it!

I fooled around with the settings, replaced SHDOCLC.DLL with one extracted from the disk, the same with iepeers.dll and a bunch of other things and somewhere along the line it started working!

Like I always say, "If you can't be brilliant, at least be persistent."

Thanks to all who helped!
Hey buddy, you pulled a tough one. Kudos!

On a lighter note, I was almost certain you are the site admin Netminder ;)
