Ups... Have you installed any software recently? Seems your scripting engine is not working propely.

Check Event Viewer and post erros. Anything related to wmi (windows managment intrface) that could be failing.

Can you load an empty mmc? (Start/Run/mmc)

If you are not using it as an AD server, try doing a repair installation. Is going to take one hour or so.

Something has overwrited files it has not suppoused to. Goldmine is listed on "compatible" applications over Win2k3 SP1, but who knows...

Have you applied all security upgrades?

Experts,

Thank all your help.  After going through the reg. I discovered that GoldMine enbedded itself throughout the reg.  where there should have been %SystemRoot%\system32... GoldMine had removed it and replaced it with the GoldMine .dll file.  After reinserting the %SystemRoot%\system32\..., the server is up and reunning again.

Thanks again

Sorry all I didn't get back to you sooner.  By cleaning up my registry and replacing the GoldMine command with %SystemRoot%\system32 that corrected the problem.  I reinstalled GoldMine and it now works as advertised.  Thanks all for your help.

wtmitch,

Just so you know...  A "C" grade is generaly regarded as an insult and most experts would rather you request your points back rather then close the question with a "C".

Sorry about the grading system. I don't mean to insult anyone. I think you guys/gals are the greatest and thanks you all for your inputs.  I am new at this and I wasn't sure how to grade because the problem solving came from a sources other than the expert exchange.

I understand :-).  (I would have un-accepted my "answer" regardless of the grade as it was anything but).  I would suggest that you have this question PAQ'd this question and get your points refunded.
