Hi Everyone,
   We have Citrix Metaframe XPa on Windows 2003 and user authenticate via Citrix Secure Gateway 2.0. Everything is working as well as can be expected but when they get their Citrix application up I have it set to fill 95% of the screen vs. full scree (so they know when they are in the Citrix session...some couldn't figure it out). My problem is if a user click on the X in the upper right han corner to close the page...It ask if you want to disconnect and people are saying OK vs. clicking start and logoff... How can we get rid of that option and/or does it really matter from a license stand point if they disconnect or logoff???
     Thank You,
             Ben

Depending on your licenses scheme it probably does not matter much.  If yopu have enough licenses for every user to connect at the same time then it does not matter.  If you have a limited number of licenses then you may have problems.

There is no way to disable that but you can have their sessions reset if they choose to disconnect like that.  That would release the licenses in the same way that it would if they log off.

To configure the disconnection /reset options do the following on your Citrix servers:

Start -> Run -> tscc.msc
Under Connections Right click on the ICA-TCP Connection -> Properties
Go to the Sessions tab

Check 'Override User Settings' on the first two options
Select a time under 'End a disconnected session'
Select 'End Session' below

Now when a user disconnects there session will be reset after XXX minutes, hours, or days.

That will free up the license and when they log in the next time they will get a new session rather than connecting to their old session.

Hi Matt,
   We do have about 75% license to user ratio and we cancel all sessions and reboot nightly. I just know there has to be a way to disable.

When the citrix app launches it launches as a program like any other (word, excel, etc).  I do not know of any way to remove the minimize / maximize / close buttons from ANY program in windows.  I don't think that is possible.
