I have a pentium III 133 mhz 
 
512 mhz memory 
 
a netopia router 
 
siemens santis wlan usb adapter

the problem is that when I start the pc, it will not make direct connection to the internet 
 
When the pc is ready I always have to take out the usb-cable of the adapter and replug 
 
Then the pc makes instantly a stable connection with internet 
 
I tried different usb-ports, but always got the same result 
 
I tried also to get the connection via the icon in the tray, without any result, I have first to replug the adapter and than all works fine 
 
Can you please tell me what the cause is
