Outlook 2003 and Hyperlinks

With Outlook 2003 (it's never happened on previous versions), hyperlinks within emails all open in a new window, which is driving me crazy!

I was told to have a look at the 'resuse windows for launching shortcuts' in IE, but this is already enabled.

It works fine for OE, but not Outlook.

Any ideas anyone?

Petelong , Astaec and myself had a long discussion about the same issue here

Hope that makes good sense of the behavior of IE with OL 2003

I may be blind, but I could not find a definite answer to this one here?

I take it there is no fix for this?  I believe I've tried all the ideas mentioned.  I could not find the newsgroup message the article referred to, although I have already ask in the newsgroup and no solution was found there.

I donot think there was a definite solution during that time. May be there is an update for OL 2003 that could have fixed it..

    ok thanks SR.

No, no updates at present :(  They'll probably leave it broken so people upgrade to the next version :p
