New Virus causing contact list in Outlook Express to flicker and lock up.

I have multiple computers and they all now are having the same problem so I assume I have a virus. When I open Outlook Express I can see the contact list portion of my screen flickering and I cannot scroll down to select contacts. I can still recieve mail but when I try to open any email with an attachment it freezes OE. HELP.

Have tried a number of scans and none have identified a problem. I have noticed that McShield.exe is very active in task manager. I know that this is associated with McAfee VirusScan, but it shouldn't be spiking CPU usage from 2% to 50% when idle. Any suggestions?

It appears that there was a bug in the McAfee update. After a VirusScan update had installed I noticed McShield running up CPU resources. The next day when I uploaded the following update on all machines the problem went away on all machines. I can't this definitively but what else can I assume?
