i want to unset cache

ExpiresActive on
<Directory "/v/xyz.com/ma/sum/out-of-service">
ExpiresDefault A1
Header set Cache-Control "no-store, no-cache, must-revalidate"
Header set Expires "Thu, 01 Dec 1994 16:00:00 GMT"
</Directory>

the orblem is sum is a different vhost

how can i specify vhost????

you can provide that directives on virtualhost section itself

i tried this in httpd.conf

<VirtualHost merchantaccount.inclink.com>
ExpiresActive on
ExpiresDefault A1
Header set Cache-Control "no-store, no-cache, must-revalidate"
Header set Expires "Thu, 01 Dec 1994 16:00:00 GMT"
</VirtualHost>

it didn't worked. it takes me to different page and says if you expecting different page please refer system administrator

I don't think it is regarding Header set
It is something with your virtual hosts configuration.
Do you use redirection somewhere ?
could you provide complete httpd.conf ?

i already have this in different location (file)

        CustomLog l************
        SetEnv QBNHOME ****************
        SetEnv PERL5LIB ***************
        include ********************
        RewriteEngine on
        RewriteOptions inherit
        include ****************
</VirtualHost>


do i have to add the headers here???

and if you remove your HEader set directives does everything work ok ?

yeah it works if i remove from http.conf  file  

but do i need to place the header in a diffferent file as per previous question

according documentation you can put Header directive into following contexts:
 server config, virtual host, access.conf, .htaccess
