How do I modify security settings for a large number of files without doing them individually?

I have a large number of files in a sub folder that I need to change the permissions to fit its parent folder.  I am logged in as a domain administrator.  What steps can I take to minimize the amount of work to achieve this?

    Use the great tool that named xcacls , and may you need to make batch file :
