Help reinstalling Windows 95
I have an old pentium 2 computer that crashed and I need to reinstall windows 95 onto it I have the install disk but when I put it in and reboot it won't go to the cd-rom drive. I went into the BIOS and changed the boot sequence so that it is supposed to boot from the cd first but it still goes to the hard drive. Right now the hard drive is compleatly empty. Thanks for your help in advance.

Is a windows 98 cd a bootable media. I am pretty sure that the floppy drive dosn't work in the computer. If it isn't I could replace it if I had to.

Anyway, just for your info where ( and how) to start Windows95 setup.
Windows 95 CD is not bootable media.
You have to obtain boot floppy with generic CD-ROM driver.
Once you boot from floppy and you verified you can access and read WIndows 95 installation folder you can simply type setup command and proceed with installation.
Windows 98 Startup disk may be of help, so ask your friends who are still running WIn908 to make one for you.
If nothing you can visit well known bootdisk WEb site and obtain floppy disk image and create statup disk you need.
