Account Deletion

When I reformatted, my old account stayed. I want to delete it but of course I dont have permission. Is there a way to rid of it without reformatting to lose all data?

what do you mean by reformat?

If you reformat a drive it will delete all data.  need more info like the os, etc...

You probably have to take ownership of the folder and then change the security on it.
