I bought a new laptop with Windows XP.  I use a Epson EPL5700i as my small home printer.  The Epson website has no XP drivers and I can't get the Windows 2000 drivers to work on my new computer.  I use this because I write checks for church and have a MICR cartridge.

Driver for epl5700 and epl 5700i are built in Windows Xp, as explained here:

If you are using the parallel cable just connect the printer than select Start > Settings > Printer > Add a new printer.

With an Usb connection the New Hardware Wizard should start once the printer is turned on, guiding you into selecting the appropriate driver.
