Office assistant on exchange 2003 and outlook 2003. internally seems to function, But

When sending an email to a domain user, I do recieve out of office message, but when sending the message from external email address.  the domain user recieves the message but the externally I don't get the auto reply.  I have enabled auto response in exchange.

that is by design....u have to enable auto reply in ur global settings in exchange system
manager or else it wont work externally...

It is under default properties in global settings. Anywhere else?

no that is the only place....global settings\deault\advanced\allow out of office responses
and allow automatic replies ....and restart server just incase....
