What are the conditions to open mailbox on the Web?

I'd like to know the conditions for opening Lotus Notes mailbox on the Web.
What should I check in the Server Document?

Now I can see in the Server Document the following line:
Administer the server from a browser (pre-Notes 6 servers only) = Notes Admin/ADMIN/COMPANYNAME
Does that mean that the Administrator can open his mailbox on the Web?
And what does it mean "pre-Notes 6 servers only"?
In the not pre-Notes 6 servers nobody can see his mailbox on the Web?

The mail is just a database, so normal conditions for opening a database from a browser apply.

There are two things: opening the mail from the Web, and opening mail from a browser. Opening from the Web implies network connectivity to the server from the Internet. I assume you intend to try from the internal network using a browser.

You need:
- the HTTP task running on the server
- an Internet password in your Person document in the NAB
- your mail database closed for Anonymous and Default
- a web-enabled mail-template for your mail database (try first)

Then, you can open http: //server.ip.adr/path/database.nsf, you will be asked for name and password, and you will be in when you typed them both right and you have access to the database. An administrator is like any user, so if he sets up the Internet password, he can gain access to his mail database.

Pre-Notes? Ah, when you have an R5 server with a Name and Address Book based on the R6 NAB template, that where you have to tell who can administer the server using a browser. This doesn't mean that nobody else can reach the server, only that nobody else can fiddle with the system's settings.

ASKER

I've an Internet password, I'm using it for Sametime.
When I enter "Show task" on the Console there is no HTTP to see, only POP3 and SMTP.
How can I check if the mail file has a web-enabled mail-template ?
