I have a VPN connection from the outside on to my network. I would like to give my accountant access to QuickBooks on the server but not have the ability to run anything else or re-boot it. Any sugestions on how to acomplish this?

Create a specific user account for him to use for the VPN, and only assign he's VPN account the neccessary access to the quickbooks folder/shared folder.
That way you'll be 100% certain that he can only use that account to dial-in and that the permissions are explicitly linked to the username that needs access. That will ensure that you're access is not linked to a specific PC/profile configuration. It should also simply the process of creating a login script/similar type of script to allow him to create a mapped drive if needs be. Then your accountant doesn't need to go and manually find his files each time.
